Blink

Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice.

In today's fast-paced and advanced society, many find it a challenge to find the time to live in the moment. Living is easy, but appreciating life's most memorable moments seems to need takes conscious  effort. None of us really appreciate the weather these days - we tend to just prepare ourselves for the catastrophe it may will cause rather than embracing it as a blessing.

There are many things to be thankful for. From the moment you open your eyes in the morning to every other activities that you partake in, memories are made. The best way to be thankful is to take time to fully absorb these moments. Moments are special and we need to be grateful that it happened. They, no matter how small or large their impact may be, shaped the person you are today. The things you build will end up building you one day. Look in the mirror and don't blink, you're a masterpiece.

There are may events in my life that, I can say, is life changing. Many of which strengthened me as a person in general, some taught me how to think while others made me feel. I used to compare my development as a person to someone else's. It's rather unhealthy but I used to have that as a benchmark, trying to always be better than him in every way possible. It was through this that I've forgotten to live in the present and to live the life I should be living. There are no two souls with the same character. Ever since the realisation, I lived each moment the way I should... and I definitely feel happier now.

Every moment matters. You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.

  1. You don't really choose where you start but you choose where you wanna go, lets say you were born in China but ur destination is Brazil and at the time of your birth the only transportation that exist is horseback, I doubt you will ever read your destination. In that scenario, you are almost destined to fail. Life may come easy for some and for others it is an endless pit they climb to reach the top. Many fall and never get up again while the world simply forgets that there was even a hole. Appreciating life comes easy to those on the ground, to those who climb they can appreciate their experience and if they ever get out, they're the strongest among all of us.

I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.
